Our Impact
Our Impact
Our impact can be articulated in a variety of other ways as well. In 23-24 academic year RP@P held over 190 individual meetings, delivered over 100 hours of training, and held community space for more than 36 hours. We built partnerships across all 12 schools, and directly collaborated with many of the Cultural Resource Centers, performing arts groups, academic departments, and athletics teams across campus.
In addition to the numbers listed above we also feel it is important to give voice to some of our training and facilitation participants:
Some reflections from training participants:
"The content of the workshop and the facilitator were both great and really helped us open up to think about and discuss the difficult scenarios of dealing with conflicts."
"They acknowledged our points and created a safe space for collaboration. I also appreciated the hands-on activities."
"The energy was something we definitely felt and I think the high energy of the hosts made us feel engaged."
"I liked how they incorporated both cases for us to apply the information to and actual content. I liked also how they split us into groups and I think that made the material more real to me."
"Presenters were present, engaged, and most importantly relatable. It was easy to talk to them and they explained everything in away that was easy to understand and led to healthy discussion."
Some reflections from our facilitation participants:
"Overall I am very happy with the process. I’d suggest it as an option to anyone dealing with difficult work relations."
"They allowed me to work through my feelings and concerns. I did not need to speak to [the other party] because engaging the facilitators, on my own, was a wonderful experience."
"[The facilitators] established a professional, personal, honest, and nurturing space in a very short amount of time."
"I felt that I was able to express myself in a safe and professional space. Without the circle, as a staff member I do not think that I would have been able to share these things."
"I felt that I got to take accountability for my actions, and try to show that I am capable of doing much better. I learned about the impact my actions had on others, and I want to prove that I've learned from this mistake."
