RP@P Student Steering Committee

The Restorative Practices @ Penn (RP@P) Student Steering Committee (SSC) works in collaboration with the Associate Director of RP@P, housed within the Office of Student Conduct. By opening and engaging in dialogue and education, this committee aims to promote Restorative Practices in Penn communities, including West Philadelphia communities at large.

The SSC serves several core functions for RP@P as:

  • the primary source of student oversight for the program as it grows;
  • an advisory committee which serves to highlight a diversity of student goals, needs and perspectives;
  • a gathering place for qualitative and quantitative information about the landscape of harm on campus;
  • a group of dedicated promoters of resources and institutional measures addressing this harm;
  • a central hub for student leaders to connect with others who are interested in addressing harm in their communities;
  • and a community invested in sharing the history, principles, and practices of Restorative Justice.

The SSC is made up of student leaders from a broad cross-section of Penn communities and meets regularly to promote these goals.
